With RemitPlus handling returned checks just got easier. Processing of return items used to require extraction, qualification and return of drafts to the bank of first deposit. Depositors were typically notified within 3-5 days but many times unable to get the original endorsed check for over two weeks. Using RemitPlus eliminates the delay and processing speed in managing fraudulent and NSF transactions. NSF items are re-presented two additional times automatically. Fraudulent checks are instantly rejected before deposit. Exceptions are also handled immediately during the check scanning process. Operators are able to manually key in amounts and continue check processing.
